Sophieby posthumousComment: This dog's profile is becoming as recognisable as Alfred Hitchcock's. The photograph works very well, is actually quite elegant, with the shadow rays fanning down and across, and dog interrupting. Thank you. |

Tunnel To Heavenby streetpigeonComment: I can't figure out what this structure is because it makes no sense. Big brackets supporting a two-piece cover? But it can't open, other than laterally, to the sides. Which seems improbable. I'm lost: that's always a happy place to be, thank you. |

blast.IMG_0839by mariucaComment: I agree with nam in every particular. The other one is good and the more apparent Marilyn homage, but this one is way more durable in its own right. A 10 from me. Thank you. |

Untitledby aznymComment: Another awesome untitled. "Blokes on a Building" ... see, not so hard. Those suspended scaffolds are ingenious. I see how they work, and can appreciate their capacity to be easily repositioned at any level. Health & Safety Inspectors would have a hissy fit, but that's what keeps them fulfilled. It's a fascinating photograph for more reasons than the sneaky scaffolding solution, however. Thank you. |

out of milkby Ecce_SignumComment: Did you take a light meter reading? Or even get an aperture/shutter pair using an auto-exposure camera? If you did you can calculate the unknown aperture size from your known 41s exposure.
This is a terrific pinhole, it has that film-like quality that I am a sucker for. Thank you. |

a1003933by MAKComment: You really are a brilliantly accomplished photographer. Having fiddled about with cameras for nearly 50 years, I still can't imagine how anyone can master the craft sufficiently to take photographs of this kind of difficult subject with such meticulous verity. I couldn't do it. Of course, I don't wish to either, but sometimes I wonder if I can't do it because I don't wish to, or I don't wish to because I can't do it. But I give myself the benefit of the doubt. Thank you. |

Election Dayby instepsComment: Yes! This is quietly epic. Ricoh GR11; that̢۪s also quietly epic.
I̢۪ve never had the interest in a US Election Day that I have in this mid-term. Don̢۪t let me down ... vote!
It̢۪s a beautiful, dignified, confident building. Now give us a beautiful, dignified, confident result please.
Oh, the photograph is superb. Did I already mention that?
Thank you. |

Tropical Sunriseby GermaineComment: It's rare that I am unmoved by a photograph of yours, but this one feels a bit skinny to me. Like one of my late Mother's watercolours. I always told her that her pictures would profit from the addition of a crow or raven. However, I love your Location: "Northern Southern California". Are there crows available in them parts?
Thank You. |
