Great old plate. I like the sense of context with a lost and neglected plate. Your colors also give me a feeling of age and neglect. The lack of detail and a bit more contrast leaves me wanting more and keeps this image in the average group. 5

I love the idea. Footprints are hard to photograph correctly. I'm guessing you were trying to replicate the actual photo and probably did a great job of it. For a photo challenge, you run into a problem, since the original photo was not that successful as an image, just as a recording of history. I think you would have to go beyond a reproduction in this challenge and create an even stronger image in order to be a top image. IMHO. 5

Your idea is fine, but the execution seems strange. The DOF works against you here, as does the strange gum composite. My personal opinion is that the Wrigley Chewing Gum part of your title should not be needed, but be obvious by the image. Right now I wouldn't know what the shot is about without that part of the title. 5

The technicals on the image, DOF and focus, seem to be fine. You've got a clean white bg and the border works with the image. The interest factor and compostion didn't work as well for you, making this image an average shot. 5

Tough shot with the indoor lighting. Interesting composition, but the lighting seems to have caused some problems in making this a top notch shot. Much of the plane blends into the background reducing the impact. 5

Wonderful expression, fun clothing and make-up. The pose works for you. Some things going against you include: lighting - too close to the background, producing heavy shadows & too close to the subject with the flash producing blown highlights and little detail. The processing looks like you've added a diffused glow (which would be illegal in basic) or a large radius USM - which comes across to me as over done, even for the era. 5

You've definately included a piece of the year '76, and it is a fairly accurate rendition of the 2 dollar bill. However, other than a reproduction, it gives me no sense of the time and place, making it very average. 5

"Your title should include the year." I've got a good sense of the time period, but would love the year and a bit more to pin down the era. Love the idea.

Glad to see the year added. Good luck.

I'm torn on this shot. On one hand, I love the colors and shapes. On the other hand, what looks like wonderful lighting has been subdued to the point that the image looks rather flat and lacking in contrast. 5

Technically good, yet I have little to no emotional connection, which leaves this as an average shot to me. 5
