I like the overall lighting in the hallways, some great sharpness on the brown bricks, and I like the shadows on the handrails. It would seem to have been taken in a Monastery as the person would most likely seem to be dressed like a Monk. I like the way you have him blurred, a mystery person in a rush. . .
The color of the brick is really nice, the various browns and the darkened mortar lines, the painted walls; but thereâs something wrong with the whole photograph, it looks crooked or something, I canât put my âfingerâ on it. And did you âlightenâ everything when you were editing it? It looks kind of off on the painted walls?
Okay. Iâm reading your comments now. It was tilted originally. I donât think the person is distracting at all, but adds to the interest of the photo. It would be boring without him.
Not a bad finish, Stephan â 56/203. The main question is: Did you have fun? I enjoyed looking at your work. So for now, keep shooting and I hope to see more of your work in the coming weeks and months ahead.
Regards,
Ed

As I originally said is my comment, I like the way you have the water running into the glass with the air bubbles running into, over, and down the glass.
Youâve got really good focus and good lighting on the top of the glass but you lose out on the base of the glass when it becomes too blurry â is this because your depth of field was too shallow?
I must say that I get really thirsty every time I see this photo it looks so refreshing. At first I thought it was Champagne, but then I thought, âgee, what a waste!â
1/1024 of a second! Wow, who would have thought?
I canât believe you finished so low with this shot (61/79) after looking at some of the other shots. Oh well! You did a good job of taking this photograph and in my humble opinion it's a darn good one.
Just keep shooting, Adam. Have some fun, keep entering the Challenges, your scores are going to start climbing up, but remember the main thing is to have fun while youâre out clicking away. . .
Regards,
Ed

Your photograph is just smack full of equipment for making this cake and keeps one busy looking around the kitchen area which is okay, because thatâs what I like to do when I watch my wife or daughter baking.
I really like your sepia tone; it gives off a better photo compared to a black and white alone.
Exposure and focus are good as is the lighting, though it is a bit bright in the back over top of the bowl area.
I like the way you have the spoons and the eggs cut off at the bottom, it brings my eyes up over the recipe book, around the area and back down to the bowls and the spoons again.
I think you did a good job in the Kitchen Challenge, finishing in 17th place out of 79. Congratulations!
Look forward to seeing more of your work in the weeks to come.
Regards,
Ed
