Flying Tigerby pncowleyComment: Oh wow. This stirs emotions with me as my grandpa flew for the Flying Tigers in China. Good shot, but it seems to be a bit over compressed. |

Stonehengeby KonadorComment: Wow.. I really really like this shot. The red tone gives an otherworldly feel to it. The connection to Pi is rather tenuous. Still 7. |

Time fliesby xertionComment: You know... I take my minor nitpick back. I just realized that the reflection makes the clock look like it has wings.. I like it more now! |

Counting Down Time with a Paper Chainby sabal5Comment: Greets from the Critique Club:
Initial impression:
Nice colors, distracting shadows, jumbled composition.
Challenge:
I admit that I didn't see the connection to time when I voted on this picture, but after reading the comments I now see the connection. Very creative and neat idea. I remember those days fondly.. Unfortunately I've found it doesn't pay to be too creative around here.
Composition/Creativity:
I'm not sure what to say here. The composition feels jumbled and messy, but I have a feeling that's caused by the shadows.
Technical/Post-Processing:
This is where this photo lets me down. The flash is far too harsh. Try more light without the flash nexttime!
Overall:
Not a strong/apparent enough reference to time. Flash. Good idea and great colors though!

Frozen Timeby bosniakComment: Greets from the Critique Club:
Initial impression:
Cold, nice idea, missing something
Composition/Creativity:
This is a good idea and I like that in a photo. The composition is good, though I think I'd like to see more space around the sides of the subject. The reflection adds interest but also clutters the photo a little.
Technical/Postprocessing:
Exposure and lighting are very good, the a bit more contrast could have been added in post processing to add that extra little bit of punch.
Overall:
Great idea, executed well. Should have scored higher in my opinion! Keep up the good work!

Triptych: Old Faded Emotionsby kosmikkreeperComment: Greets from the critique club:
This is an ingeneous idea and I really like the way you've done it. It took me a little while to figure out how exactly you did it, but I think I know now. (Or at least I know how I'd do it!)
Of course, this pic meets the challenge very well. Techinically it's outstanding, however I have two main gripes. One, the emotions do seem very forced. Two, on the picture on the right I don't like the intensity of the light. Other than that this is perfect.
Good job!

Reflections of interest by xertionComment: Good lord this is just wonderful! The clouds, the reflections, the illusions. I can't think of anything I'd change about it. Great Job! |
