Bear River Marshesby dsidwellComment: Good use of leading lines with the edges of the plants to point me towards the center of the photo. Then I see the mountain and the sky with the fluffy clouds. I also like the pattern of the water and how it reflects the sky and clouds. Overall, it looks like there is some CA or oversharpening. If it's CA, then it can't be helped. I notice it especially in the clouds in the upper left near the bright area and in the lower left corner of the water. Very nice landscape study! 7 |

Aloft by BradComment: Good choice to go with b/w for a tall ship photo as it lends to the age of the ship. Sharp details of the clouds and the ship sails, masts and riggings. Border is a bit too thick, in my opinion, but it seems to fit in fairly well here and match the overall tone of the photo. 9 |

Prowlin'by karmatComment: I think this would have had more impact if the tiger was looking directly at the camera vs out of frame. The bamboo in front of the tiger is also distracting. Although I haven't seen a tiger in a while, the colors seem a bit muted to me. You did capture excellent details, however. 6 |

The Walkby L1Comment: Nice capture of an afternoon (or morning) walk of a father and his sons. The duotone and soft focus are also very nice touches. The telephone pole stands out and I feel it should have been cropped out (or cloned out). 8 |

Kookaburraby moodvilleComment: Very good wildlife study. Crisp details of the feathers and bird in general. Nice earth toned background to match the bird's colors. Border feels a bit too thick to me. 9 |

All the Good Thingsby mbardeenComment: Great sunrise/sunset photo. Love the patterns created by the clouds. Cropping could use a bit of work on the left side as I see what appears to be a boat. 8 |

Warmthby joannsComment: Excellent portrait study. Skin tones are very even and warm (to go along with your title). I think the headband is a bit distracting especially with the black and white pattern on it. Make it scream for attention. A neutral gray color might have been more appropriate if you really wanted her to wear something. I would have cropped a bit more off the right side but maybe not. It's very good in it's current state. I also like this border even though its very thick. It gives the photo a mounted on a wall feel. 8 |

Haystacks - A Tribute to the Impressionist Masterby ColeyComment: Nice use of repeating subjects in both the foreground and background. I also like the use of an out of frame vanishing point. Lighting is interesting. Is it morning or afternoon? A bit more of the sky could have been cropped out. 7 |

Solitudeby ZoomdakComment: Excellent use of patterned negative space. Love the details of the fluffy clouds and the mini sand bars in the water. I'm also impressed that you were able to capture the subtle hints of fog along the rock. Now for the negative. I feel there is almost too much negative space at the bottom of the frame but I understand you wanted to show the details of the water and sand. 9 |
