this needs more contrast. too gray, or maybe the bottom should be black, and the bird and untouched paper white, and then just do it in "color"... it would give it a natural contrast. Good idea, and good illustration of the challenge.

the focus in this image is way off. It would also be better to fill your frame with the image, rather than frame it on 2 sides with white. :( Keep shooting though.

A castle for my princess

Great! Shows action and usefulness rather than just documenting the blocks. The child is in the right place and right dof to make this work. Perhaps her hand and the block she is holding could be in a bit better focus, and not so much the ones on the bottom. Nice job!

This is incredible! Her expression is so moving, and the restraint due to the fence/barrier.... Is she wanting to come out? or Is she sorry I am in? I am only left to wonder. Look how she seems to be looking back .. almost over her shoulder. She is almost indifferent to the situation.. yet needs to respond to it out of obligation. The tones are harsh, yet even providing more emotion. The clarity and focus are just as they should be, and the lighting perfect.
I am amazed with this piece. My first favorite in several weeks, and my only 10 this week. Congratulations!
