Love Pageby danielcheong1974Comment: I think I've seen something like this before here on DPC. What does the DPC etiquette say when it comes to copying others' ideas (except in "Deja vu" challenges)? (Or was it originally yours?) I honestly don't know, it might be encouraged or frowned upon.
I'll start a forum thread to ask about this, just out of curiosity. I'd like to emphasize that although your image triggered the question, the thread is not meant to be about your picture. (I'm saying this because my intentions have been misinterpreted before in a similar situation.) |

Dusk on the Waterby rjksteschComment: Seems a bit skew to me. Rotating the picture slightly clockwise would fix this. Otherwise very nice. |

backroadsby dstrohlComment: Wow, wow, wow! Looks like a scene out of a movie (and not just because of the black borders)! I like the shallow DOF. I like the expression (this guy is damn serious!). I like the lighting. I like the background that tells us where this might be taking place. What did you do to the colors to make them seem movie-like?
Great job. I hope it does well. 10. |

Brick factoryby SoulMan1978Comment: I think I've seen this before, but with a pencil in it. ;-) Barry?
Good idea to take the picture in the evening. |

Foggy Nightby bruskiComment: Very cool lighting. The two little lights in the background and their cable, however, are an unnecessary distraction. I think the picture would be better without them. Still one of my favorites in the challenge. |

fast track to oblivion by rozComment: Wow! I like the composition, the expression and the altered reflection as a "preview" of things to come. It perfectly fits the challenge and deserves a ribbon. I hope you don't get too many 1, 2 and 3 votes of people who have this knee-jerk reaction to vote low on anything unpleasant. |

Cross my Heart and Hope to Dieby UbersteinyComment: I like the composition, the lighting, the shallow DOF, but the title (if I understand it correctly) is disturbing. I guess you'll get some very low votes and furious comments (people saying "You promote violence against women!" and stuff like that). However, I appreciate the effort and the well thought out setup. The picture tells a story and conveys emotions. And it fits the challenge perfectly. 9. |
