This photograph is strong because it uses an analogous color scheme. Also the reflection is very detailed. The shadows on the top of the leaf are also very strong.

The contrast of the white and blue put emphasis on the flower and the red dots in the center put emphasis on that. The green pods also balance the photograph.

This picture has a nice range of shadows. The rocks in the background take add texture to the picture but at the same time, they almost distract the viewer from the sun bathing animal.
