Very good lighting. Don't like the hair poufed up on the top back, makes her head seem pointed.

This is too much of an Olin Mills portrait pose. I would have had her hair over the right shoulder and her chin could have benn lowered just a touch. Also, would have had those amazing, hazel-gray eyes looking directly into the camera.

Color is very good. Composition is not exactly what I would have used. One eye is angry, two eyes are expressive. I would have broken conventional rules and centered the composition of the subject with both eyes visible, just to emphasize the person behind the mask. I do like the tight crop though. It gets away from a travel mag photo

I like this shot a lot. Its very photojournalistic in nature. Not at all touristie.

The composition is very good. The sharpness and depth of field is on the money. The subject is not playing to the camera. I even like the slightly green (ektachrome) tint, it gives it a dated feel, much like an older Life magazine image.

It would also be very compelling with an extreme crop of just the subject himself.

Over all a nice shot. A few observations:

- A 3/4 pose of the subject would be better with side lighting.
- Elevated angle shooting down at subject would have been more flattering (no double chin)
- The triple bordering detracts from the purpose of the image.
- The title does not match the action/activity of the subject. "Thoughtful" would be more fitting.
