Princes Pier, Melbourne.........Is that what they have done to it at the moment........I thought that area up to the old Gatehouse was meant to still be covered, and only the end 2/3 being just the piles.
Last time I was there, it wass still surrounded by barriers

Love the effect you have created here, but think you might suffer with people taking more literal interpretations of the topic............

Melbourne......the yarra. I miss it at times......There are few cities in the world like Melbourne.

Great light. You took this at the right time to get show the lights as well as the details. Shame about the size restriction as this would look even more impressive in larger size. All the lines seem to lead down to Jeff's Shed.

The crop on the Crown tower at the top seems a little tight. Just a little bit extra space there probably would have helped.

Great time of day to photograph Perth over the Swan.
The reflections are great. The river looks so still here.
A little of additional space all around the image may have helped. I would have included some additional space on both sides to give the image a little more room. At the moment it does feel a little squashed into the frame.
The centreline is also running straight through the middle of the image, however it looks that it is just in the upper half..........this makes it feel a little unbalanced......Some additional sky above the city (upper part of the image) would have then avoided this and balanced the image more.

The colours and shapes here are exceptional. These make this image stand out for people to chose from the thumbs......

I note that that image is close to symmetrical, but isn't. I find this distracting. While the image does not need to necessarily be symmetrical, this is too close though to work. I feel you either needed to be further to the right (and therefore clearly offset) or to the left, and lined the image up to be perfectly mirrored......Either would have worked well, and I feel would have boosted your score.

But still, above all, the colours are what will make this stand out.

I think this is the best of the photos you posted. The black and white version is by far better than the colour version.
I feelt hat in this, you have used his tattoo (of the Lord's Prayer) as a feature of the image, and in doing so, have actually made this image about more than just a shot of some guy. Just by the composition of this, you have managed to make a statement about perhaps who he is, his beliefs etc.......as a result, the image does work. his hand placement, the slightly flexed bicep etc all helps to emphasise that tattoo as an important element of the photo.

As for the other photos while I am here.....
The photos with his head tilted do not have enough space above. To me they appear like he is tilting his head to fit in the image.........Some more headroom will avoid this impression.
In 0045_800, the light is too harsh from his right, which makes him look pale

I would be tempted to do Black and White, but leave his eyes blue.........his eyes could be used to make the image really stand out............

Just my 2c........

Love the Colours. Thats always what grabs me with these pictures. The red of the rocks, the green strip at the water and the dark blue river......instantly gives interest.

I do though feel that I am seeing only part of the scene, as the left side does not have a natural border, and I am sure there is plenty of interest further that way......

Marion....It will be a sports team, most likely AFL football team, but I don't think it is Geelong Cats (cant see any faces I recognise). They wold have played the day before and are doing a recovery session in the water. Very good for the muscles. you see this alot down St Kilda/Port Melbourne as well. Used to do it myself when I was in Melbourne

The reflections here are very good, and the colours they are wearing does help make for an interesting image.

You are getting around, and to many of my favourite spots. You just now need to get down to Wilsons Prom.......I used to spend quite a bit fo time down on the island.

Yet again, great time fo the day ad great light in the image. Processing is great and the control of the exposure through the use of HDR is spot on.

Point Lonsdale Lighthouse.........
Great image Terry. Brilliant light and clouds at the time which really does make the shot. Like the rails snaking up to the lighthouse. Maybe a little more space to the left would have helped a touch, and made this into a more panoramic crop. Would have moved the lighthouse away from the extreme left.......

I have a rule that if you post pictures of food, you must send me some as you are making me hungry, and I do not have any Blueberries in the fridge!!

I would have been tempted here to crop this completely different, and would have tries a square crop for the image. I feel the space at the top does not add to the image, and that there is not enough space to the sides.........
