Living Portrait In Wooden Frameby loriprophotoComment by ShutterPug: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
I absolutely ,loved this when I first saw it, and still do. The 3D effect it presents is great. The vibrant colors just pop out at me. I can't help but smile when viewing this.
Great shot - shows some welcome creativity.

Power & Speed In Slow Motionby loriprophotoComment by notonline: I find this photo to have a major clarity issue. I believe its caused by the brightness and contrast level. Try bringing down the brightness by -5 or -10 and uping the contrast by +5 or +10. I think you'll find a more vibrant photo with less blur (I'm not refering to the background or the horses legs). Good luck in this challenge. <5> |

Living Portrait In Wooden Frameby loriprophotoComment by banmorn: The challenge description read that wood needed to be 'an important component of the composition' NOT the subject.
Lori I like your idea and this is wonderfully shot. Good job getting them cats to sit still. Message edited by author 2005-08-06 19:06:41. |

Dreaming of All That Wealthby loriprophotoComment by srbrubaker: One takes huge risks photographing faces in shadow. I like the composition. I especially like the light; and the textures.the wood of the table, the hair and even the wrinkles and pores in the skin are nicely rendered. The shadow on the face seems just a little strong, even though the subject is sleeping. |

Power & Speed In Slow Motionby loriprophotoComment by muur88: nice capture. just a hair overexposted. just a personal perference but i would have liked the blur on just the foreground or the background. i'm thinking bluring the background while keeping the horse more in focus with a pan would have worked the best. perhaps you tried that and it's easier said than done as the feet move faster than the body. so maybe concentraiting on the head would have been easier. just some thoughts from someone who has never tried this technique and needs to do so before posting comments. |
