Flock of Geeseby digifotojoComment by roz: being in the right place at the right time is something very precious to a photographer .
moments are so flighty .. they come and they go .. if you dont catch them they are gone .. forever ..
you have caught something here ..
it has a quality that's hard to put into words .. almost sad .. the birds flying away .. abandoning this cold deserted scene ..
another perfect shot for your theme .. :) |

Flock of Geeseby digifotojoComment by jagar: This is a photograph where you feel you are there, the exact tonality of what was seen, how it was seen. |

I'm not sure what you're referring to by the weighting of the subject. Could you explain? |

Simplisticby digifotojoComment by wbanning: Beautiful lines, contrast, color. It might benefit from greater DOF, as the point of sharpest focus is limited and appears to be in an area with little detail. At this close distance, it's really hard to get much depth without focus stacking. |

New Bloomby digifotojoComment by wbanning: You've given us a "back-side" view - contrary to the typical pov - which emphasizes the overall shape rather than the internal color and line variations.
I'm trying to decide about the weighting of the subject at the bottom of the frame. Can you comment on your intent with this decision? |

Interrupted Journeyby digifotojoComment by wbanning: Your focus plane seems to be in just the right spot for this. Effective minimal image - I like the interplay of the soft graceful lines in the dandelion with the crunchy dried-out stem/leaves. |
