I can see how this would be very tricky to take, but you have done a great job! I'm amazed that you captured the detail in the geese and the snow...truly amazing technical feat! I wonder how it would look if you dodged the sky and made it brighter to match the foreground creating a frame? Looks great as is though...wonderful shot!

It is a nice red rail, but the ice is so nice! I would have prefered this with no selective desat personally. Also, it looks odd having the top rail and middle rail still gray....

I think if you had focused your attention on captureing the rail and made it the subject before turning it red (perhaps getting closer to it or from a different angle) then it would have worked better in the end...just my opinion though!

I don't know, I kind of feel like the red, as bright as it is, draws my attention away from too must of the other stuff in the image that is good. But then if you put the entire thing in b/w then the rail might just look out of place. I'd have to see it to know.

Nicely composed image :) Some of the spines look overexposed to me and I would have cleaned up some of the specs in between the spines. The frame is well filled and the simple lines are very effective.

nice sparkle in the snow and it's exposed well but I gotta say, I really hate that grey border, it takes away from an otherwise interesting image.

As has been sa (many tis) yes yu can and should crop thiss and edit it? well, thats up to you ;) The snow seems overexposed and I tend to agree that croppin up to te waters edge bottom right would help the overall composition. Looks like you've found a great spot and will be interesting to see this location changing with the seasons.
