Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment by bassbone: the lighting and comp are right on the money - i wish my p&s could even get half as nice as this image - a wonderful shot and a pleasure to view |

Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment by tnun: Pixelpig said it: "the intimate relationship between flower petals and sunlight." This is a tribute to this cluster of tiny blooms. |

Odd Domino Rallyby bobonacusComment by bassbone: nice perspective shot with good shallow DOF - i think the dominos could use a bit more contrast to really make them jump, but it seems to work okay |

Odd Domino Rallyby bobonacusComment by bobnospum: Nice idea, with only the odd numbers visable. Not to be picky, but the 2nd domino has a ugly mark in it. Note sure the imperfection adds rather than detraacts from the photo. |

Day 3: Leaf It Out!by bobonacusComment by MelonMusketeer: You could eliminate some of the bright sky by tilting the photo right at the top and cropping to a vertical comp. It would not get the same effect, but would be cool to see the frame full of that awesome backlit green textures.
Nice find, and good capture to get the details that you wanted well exposed. |

Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment by MelonMusketeer: The little Canon did a nice job of controlling the hard sun light in this shot. As you said, the P&S cameras are a lot of fun to have around, and they do macro very nicely. |

Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment by pixelpig: Wow--your first shot at flowers. You will be hooked on the intimate, expressive relationship between flower petals & sunlight--just look at how beautifully you captured it in this shot! I see clean, clear whites & a nice blue in the sky, too. IMO I have to bring the shot to the camera when I'm using a DSLR. With a P&S I feel like I'm bringing the camera to the shot, allowing for a quicker, more spontaneous reaction to what I see around me. It's good to have a variety. |
