Too Late for the 7:25amby GIS_boyComment: Great photo, tho I would prefer black & white, with maybe a little more & darker contrast (play with levels or curves). |

Anas Platyrhynchi of a Featherby PirateJabezComment: Contrary to a couple comments, the original picture IS in focus (look at the rock), and the ducks are sharp and clear. I'm thinking it may look a little soft because I used a pretty poor-quality lens (all I can afford at this point). I think I may have used a slight unsharp-mask, but I do not like the look of over-sharpened images (which there are plenty of on this site). All the same, the comments are helpful. Cheers. |

3,000 PSIby PirateJabezComment: As per the pressure/strength debate, in this case the two are inseperable. It's not like air or liquid pressure building in some container, but as the description states this machine is designed to mold chunks of steel (they get white hot) into usable forms, and the gauge shows the amount of pressure exerted on the steel to do so. If that's not strength, I don't know what is! I do see the where this issue would come up out of context during voting, however.
Also, I pretty much just walked in to the warehouse and took a bunch of shots; I had no control of the lighting aside from my built-in flash, which I wisely chose not to use. I do like the harshness effect of the shadow, but do also realize how some clarity is lost. Message edited by author 2005-07-05 20:14:22. |

Self Serveby eweikComment: Was the camera's internal flash used? I probably would have reccomended another source. Love the mist. |

The Rust Zoneby mannjuditComment: I LOVE this picture! Usually I do not favor over-unsharp-masked (forgive me if I'm wrong) pictures, this works very well stylisticly. And the compositions is WONDERFUL. The only thing, as has been pointed out, is the lack of an obvious correlation to the 70s. Keep up the good work. |

Far Out, Manby jab119Comment: I like the Mr. Cingular in the background... except for the fact that he's so easily recognizable. Good job overall. |
