My sincere apologies about saying it wasn't a ford car. I had asked my hubby and that's what he told me. See if I listen to him again. Anyway, it is a great photo either way.

I thought that the title of this photo was probably kind of car that was in the photo. However, I looked it up and couldn't find anything called a Tauri. So, I thought that maybe you were trying to portray the plural of Taurus, but these aren't even Ford made cars. However, what ever it is (looks like a chrystler concord or lhs or 300m, something of that nature) they are definately new. I like the angle and the repetitive-ness (if that's even a word). Lighting is good, not too dark, not too bright. Great depiction of something new. Good luck with the challenge.

Yup, I definately see the reference to new. I like the photo very much, you even got the ball half way from the pitcher to the batter. If the photo were turned slightly counter clockwise, it would be a little more balenced. You did a very nice job with this photo. I actually just attended my very first baseball game on Thursday, so I think it's neat. Good luck with the challenge.

I see the humor, but it's really only the title that gives much reference to the challenge "something new". Granted, I could probably go so far as to say that it's new dirt, then it meets the challenge. However, setting that aside, it's still not really visually appealing. Funny, yes. Something I could look at for hours, no. The lighting is great, no funny shadows and nothing too bright on the subject. Only lighting flaw I see is your shadow. Maybe the photo could have been taken at a different time of day so it didn't show your shadow. If not, cropping is always an option. It is as a location where you wouldn't lose anything from your photo if you just sliced off the bottom a bit. You have great focus, with nice detail. I love the bird way in the back between the 2 highest trees. Good luck with the challenge.

Is that REALLY apartment 24F?? Or were you just guessing. LOL I'm just playing. It's late and I thought I had all my commenting done, when I looked and saw 6 more left to do!! The angle and lighting are good. Definately depicts something new. It appears to be straight with the edge of the photo. That guy is looking at you like "what is that crazy person doing taking pictures of this?" I get that a lot. Especially at the zoo, when I was taking pictures of the really cool bench, when there was a giraffe trying to eat out of my pocket. lol. Great shot and good luck with the challenge.

Here I go being extremely picky again. At first glance, this photo is really nice. I like the subject, the way it's set up with the lace and the rose, and I even like the shoes. The recipt (although depicting "new") doesn't really fit with the sexy "I have new shoes and I have a hot date tonight" look of the photo. I think just having them by the box would be enough to depict that they were new, and still keep the original look you were going for. Maybe it's just my lack of knowledge on dress shoes, but the name brand on the box doesn't seem to match the name brand on the shoe. I realize that the name on the box could be the designer, and the name on the shoe could be the company, but unless you have the knowledge of that particular brand, you may not know that. Another thing that catches my eye is the toe nail polish on the big toe. It either has strange reflection, or it's not been put on in a smoothe coat. I also notice a few small white speckles on the shoes that look kind of like lint. Sorry I'm being so picky, sounds like I'm tearing it apart, but I gave it a high rating and I like it very much. The message being portrayed is very "new". The new rose, new shoes, and possible a new date. Great job with this. The lighting is excelent. Good luck!

Unless this is a new manuver that this kid is trying to perfect, or unless it's a new skateboard, I'm not sure the photo depicts something new. i'm not going to rule out total failure to meet the challenge just cause I don't fully understand skateboarding. Not quite sure what is cropping off the picture (not to mention his fingers) at the top. I believe there is a vehicle in the background, but other than a guy on a skateboard, the photo is pretty fuzzy, or foggy. kind of like the shadow of the boad on the ground. Good luck!

Sorry abou your desperate submission. This is interesting to say the lease. i'm curious cause I saw a pic on a different site that was a still shot of people writing with sparklers, is that how you got the word "new" on there?

"The place where best friends are made." I love these guys. My son has 3 of them, and as a matter of fact, we just celebrated Ruffy's birthday on the 6th. It's a big deal, he got clothes and shoes and a little guitar. lol. Very cute photo. Good lighting. No distracting shadows or bright spots. Good luck with the challenge.

This is beautiful. The owner of this new house is very lucky to be able to view that sunset every night. At first, I thought that the virtical post to the left was not even with the edge of the photo. As I kept looking at it, I wasn't sure, so I measured it and it is almost as perfect as perfect gets. However, I was trying to figure out why it originally looked tilted a bit, and I realized that it is because the horizon is not straight, and being a lighter color at the top, and a darker color at the bottom, it makes that particular post only appear to be crooked. This isn't a photographer error, or camera error, or any error for that matter. Just a trick on the eyes, more like an optical allusion. So I chose to ignore it. lol. This depicts new, it is visually appealing, and I think it even goes by that "rule of thirds" that is currently being discussed in the forums. Great shot! Good luck in the challenge.
