Gordon --

This picture has it all. Great colors, great compositon. Focus is a little lost is the lower right corner, but that is understandable due to your wide DOF.

Gracious --

What a great idea. This very well deserves a high ranking on the challenge.

Big question -- Is that a multi-colored slinky that you used?

Color is absolutely great. The only thing that I would disagree on is the backlighting. I'm not sure on the reddish cast.

This is one picture that didn't need to follow the rule of thirds!

I could gush, and go on and on about what this picture has. I love it so much, I am making it one of my favorites.

Congrats on your placing in this week's challenge. It was so well deserved.

I voted you a 5 on this picture. I think that the composition is good. The color needs a little more saturation to really stand out and the contrast just isn't getting my interest.

I think that this was a great first effort by you though.

Good luck at DPC.

I voted this a 6. I like it. Very good composition, the subject was interesting and appealed to me. Color was a little pale. I would have turned up the saturation a little.

If I had one more wish on this picture, I would have it closer up to the horses.

Great Overall photo though.

Actually I voted this picture a 6. I like it. Focus was great. Composition was good. It looked like a professional truck ad to me.

Maybe turn up the color contrast a little bit more as it seems a little lifeless.

Good effort.

I really like this picture. I see that you made the biker going into the photo instead of away. That's important to me. I'm also liking the fact that I see the gentle rolling of the road.

I also see that you mentioned that this picture was taken on a overcast day. That made me vote your original down a little (to a 6) without that knowledge.

Overall, I would consider this picture an above average effort.

Good work.

This picture seems a little grainy to me. Great shot of the arch though.

I'm sorry, but I would have to rate you down because I don't understand the significance of your picture in the four challenge.
