| 03/01/2006 07:57:18 PM | O U T C A S T S — A Tale of Forbidden Loveby Bear_MusicComment: I just absolutely love this picture. The knee deep snow, the body language of the puppet, the snow on the duck, the presence of the duck, the light suggesting at a setting sun, behind the puppet... I can't imagine a way to improve this picture. Thank you for posting this. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 04/07/2004 06:14:25 PM | Pinewood Derby 1990by JPRComment: Oh man, this one is too bleached out. I think the all-white with black wheels is a good idea, but the black wheels aren't really black, and don't seem to have much texture. If you could have done that, I think the shot might have played out better. Maybe a more interesting angle and cropping on the car as well could have helped it. |
| 04/07/2004 06:11:37 PM | Move! Fast!by karmatComment: This shots makes me laugh; good work. I like the tightness of the shot - adds a bit to the title - but it seems to be lacking in texture somehow... maybe a better manual focus would have helped... Also, it's a bit hard to determine where you are in the shot. It doesn't jump at you (so to speak). I can see that hurting you as people glance and vote without really examining and figuring out the shot. |
| 06/03/2002 12:37:00 PM | Front & Center w/ Garbageby TrickyBuddhaComment: Just one other comment - I was really close to her (I could have grabbed the microphone without stretching) during much of the show, but before I took this one I slipped back a few people. I was getting jostled about very much, and the lighting was very low, so the photo lacked an absolute focus. I tried, though! :) Oh - Annie Lennox is a good call, by the way :) |
| 05/09/2002 12:34:00 PM | Make Your Fantasies Realby ReignComment: Very sexy - the red felt or whathaveyou for the background gives the whole photo a nice warm feel to it, as well as a red influence throughout... great detail on the can, and nice props... i might have given this a perfect score if the whip was a little better lit (blurry is good here), and you captured just an eensy bit more of the texture in the whip handle. nice job. |

| 05/13/2002 10:08:00 AM | Tazo Chai: The Reincarnation of Teaby TrickyBuddhaComment: I guess I was trying too hard to make the "Starbuck does tea" idea work, as in it looks like coffee, but this is the reincarnation of tea! Oh well. Thanks for all of the super helpful comments. I appreciate them so very much! |
| 05/09/2002 12:38:00 PM | Snuggle Softby connieComment: I think I gave this photo a high score because of the color in it, as well as the nicely in-focus grass. The only aspect of this photo that bugs me is the white blanket. You want really vibrant colors to show off how great the softener is, but here it is so white that it loses its texture. It might have been better to try other colors of blankets, if you had not done so. Maybe even a more "warm" color would have done well. Nice shot, though :) |
| 05/12/2002 03:40:00 PM | Canon digital photography - for the beauty in lifeby ssComment: Nice shot - very colorful and nice focus... The lighting itself of the camera, though, is a little too dark - just a touch. The way the lighting in the shot is, though, it would probably be difficult to get better lighting on the camera. A nice shot overall, and deserving of a high score. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
