 This is, again, my much put-upon daughter. She has been 'leaping' in various places all week, the poor thing, but nothing was working well enough for us both to be happy with it. This was our last chance to get something acceptable... on the way to school on the last day available for submission. After half a dozen crossings, we got this! I'm so proud of her for her persistence.

About 18 hours before rollover and I must admit, at 7.1*** I'm getting excited. Going by the chatter in the threads, I doubt that this will win, however it is by a long margin my personal best. Hope it stays above 7 - that would be sweet!

Just some quick added comments for anyone who reads this after the fact:
The lollipop lady is FANTASTIC! I had explained to her what I wanted to achieve & why and she gladly went along with it - she was pretty stoked when she found out I came third :) The extra child was a bit of a bonus.

My daughter Samantha has been SO excited about the comments you guys have been leaving - thanks so much for that (it makes for a willing victim for my future photographic exploits). We were talking tonight about it and I mentioned the comment about the 'little smile' and she said 'that just proves I was enjoying myself'. I said to her not to let that get out because I'd told everyone that I had to beat her into submission to take part, then photoshop out the bruises. She was mortified! - until she worked out I was kidding - then I got 'that' look. You know, the one that says 'that's just not really funny Mum'. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Love it.

Congrats. By the looks of the crossing guard she probably was getting tired of watching your daughter cross. Did you ever think of asking her to jump too?

this is great. I new straight away this was an Aussie shot, am guessing at which state but I think the lollipop lady's hat gives it away :) What a wonderful daughter you have to co-operate so well :)
