The shadow on the left eye (our right) is the only thing that bothers me here. Otherwise, a great shot.

What a little sweety pie. I love her expression. The composition is great as well. Great capture.

Really like everything except the harshness of the light and the difference between the eyes especially; just don't think it matches the composition and mood as well as it could.

The one shadowed eye really hurts this shot a lot. Having an eye shadowed really doesn't fit with the tone of this shot at all. Otherwise, this is a wonderful shot that I really enjoy. Nice crop. Without the shadow over the eye this is probably a 9. As is, I'll say a 7.

really good example of b&w portraiture imo, i wish it could have been a tad more in focus

I love the way she is "posed", and the nice tight composition. I would like to see more light on her whole face, especially on the right - on my monitor, the shadows around her eye make it almost look like she has a black eye!

IMHO...the shadow casted upon the subject's right side and particularly the eye is a bit distracting. Otherwise good shot, nice frame fill and very cute subject. Good luck!

Darling shot. The shadow is a bit too dark and I wish to see both her eyes. Of course shes a magazine model!!! Very nice work.

Aww that's *so* cute.
Only complaint would be the dark eye, otherwise it is lit well and focus & composition are great. Lovely shot.

Cute close up but the lighting is way to harsh. It creates such shadows that you can't see one eye.

I would prefer this shot without the harsh shadows across the face. And the smile is totally hidden.

congratulations! on both, the shot and kate. IMO the only thing to make this better would be to shrapen it a little.

I sure wish Kate had both of her eyes in the light. Nice pose and great model. I just think the smile needs both peepers.

My pick of the week, good luck. This is a great image. I worked hard on my submission and it is also of children. But, it is nowhere near as good as this image, I hope that you do well. 9
