The first 2 votes were both 10's! It will drop... I know that... buuut... at 22 votes it's 8.5!!! I think I'll turn scores off before I break the update button :) There is absolutely no way I expected this start. Wow.

Been in voting for a day now. 60 votes, 8.4333. I'm sure I'll break the update button... didn't I say I was going to turn that off? The highest it's been so far (disregarding the first 6 votes) is 8.5472 at 53. My husband thinks I need to sleep... bah!

1 day to go, dropped a bit over votes 110 to 116 (isn't it sad that I've noticed that?!) but the score is still uber-cool.

...but you know what's even cooler? The comments! Apart from the triptych challenge, I've never received so many comments while an image is in voting! This is way cool. Thanks everyone!

Fully expect the dreaded last day drop on this, but by crikey, this week's been a hell of a ride! :)))))))

I am an absolute sucker for umbrella shots (I have 11 different umbrellas that I have collected for photo shoots). This one is stellar! Beautiful, rich, and warm red & orange tones complement the scene. The umbrella is like the setting sun. I love how the shape of the fan mimics/complements the spoke wheel shape of the umbrella (a half circle to the full circle). The silhouette of the lady is perfectly accomplished. She is elegance itself. Congrats on capturing such a stunning image!

This is an excellent concept and I like that both the model and the umbrella give clean silhouettes. I like the use of both the umbrella and the vignette to frame the model's head. As a minor criticism, having the model's left hand (holding the large umbrella) held close to her body spoils the shape of her silhouette a little bit.

In my top 10. I would have given this a 10 if the fan wasn't in the image. THe arm going up and the shape and texture of the fan take my eye in a little circle in the middle of the frame when I want to look a the whole image.

Something Librodo might do if he did silhouettes. Except for the odd pairing of an Asian umbrella with a Spanish fan... this is terrific. Front page in my book.
