And this is so perfect in so many ways. It was already in my favs, and I wish I could fav it 18,000 more times. The girl's look is just priceless and the picture is perfecT! |

Lovely interaction shot. The child is inquisitive but non-committal :) The Pelican is wary but non-plussed. Great seaside candid.

I love all the elements of this photo. I just wish the kid and the bird weren't so far into the corners - it makes them feel disconnected to me. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: What a delight this is. Convincing portrait, candid street and wildlife shot all rolled into one. Fabulous. The perspective of the railing offers a sense of depth to the image as does the distant horizon. The look on the child's face is fantastic as is the pelican's wary glance to us, the viewer.
Critical stuff: Nope.
Overall: A brilliant image. |
