I expected both of your entries in the top 3 this week, very good black and white photography. To counterpoint sumlak's uninspired critic the only suggestion for improvement on this one would be a miracle (such as a bird landing on one of the lights or something of sorts) regards.

Greetings from the Critique Club
Subject A Smiling Tractor, Which made me smile too!

Sharpness:
good the image doesn't show any artfacts from oversharpening
Exposure: A little dark in the lower part of the image.
Contrast & Color: Good
Composition
As you look at the photo your eyes are drawn to the subject

Suggestions for improvement:
Perhaps experiment with different lighting, and boosting the EV a bit.
Congratulations on a photo that is very humorous!

A lovely shot. Perfect in black and white. Great composition and the focus is good. The border is good too. One of two favourites this week. Good luck!

Hehehe... this is cute! I never would have thought of a tractor like that :-) The black and white makes it look old fashioned which is pretty cool . Only thing I would say is cropping part of the bottom off might have been more effectual -7-

It's hard to tell whether this shot was "setup" or whether it was, shall we say "candid", but nevertheless, it definitely made me smile ! I like the black and white. I might have liked a more daring/dynamic composition, but this works too. DOF works well for this photo.

I couldn't see the humor till I stopped for a moment and looked at it simply. It is a great find, and surely made me laugh out loud. The b & w really helps this shot and keeps it from being distracting....10

Good eye to see this (or did you help?) Very toothy smile! Good shot, nice contrast. Tiniest of suggestions, crop just a tad off the bottom, leave us in suspense whether it ready to run (or in this case on a block). O.K? 8 Swash

Great shot, it made laugh so in my opinion it fits the challenge very well. I'm no to fond about the framing though. I'd like to see either some more space above the "eyes" or some less space below the "mouth". Besides that It's a great catch.

I gave this an 8. I liked it. It's simple, it's a goofy smiley face on a tractor frontend. LOL It makes me laugh and I like 'less is more' in photos. Also the focus and light are good along with nice tones. I do think the composition could of been improved with a little levels adjustment. It's nice work. Congrats.

Strangely enough, this did make me laugh. It's not 'set up' looking, and it looks like a frog. A cartoon frog, of course. Pretty funny find. I love the use of black and white here. Focus and clarity are really good. Angle and framing/cropping are excelent as well. I think the central positioning of the tractor(?) is good. Great eye! Good luck in the challenge.

This is a great shot, one of my faves this week. I really smiled back at him!! My only nit is that it seems to be leaning just a bit to the left. Super job!
