My favorite album covers are the conceptual ones. A master in that art was Storm Thorgerson, recently deceased unfortunately. His work was used by a lot of musicians, among which Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, or more recently Muse. His pictures make often the viewer wonder about what is exactly going on, how what is depicted has happened, or for what purpose. I particularly like those kind of intriguing and unexpected moods. From there, I tried to imagine an image working this way too. Several ideas came to mind, but some were quite complex to achieve technically, so I opted for this rather simple one given the short amount of free time I had this week.

For the record, the tooth is an actual tooth, removed from a dog's mouth by my wife. Of course, this was not done specifically for that image, the dog was really needing this intervention: I simply took advantage of the situation. I'm sure he doesn't mind!

What a clever take on the title. The lighting and coloration are perfect. The tooth is fabulous. The casual pose of the man on the beach, just right. An altogether very fine image.
