i love the shadowy figure in the back, this is a very mysterious picture. my one nit is the camera feels slightly tilted to the left. :)

i like the photo very much but am alittle confused as to what it is

This reminds me of a scene in "Jane Eyre." Nicely done. At first I thought it might have been a touch too dark in the background, but I think that lends itself to setting the mood. Good shot.

I almost missed the figure in the backgound. Adjusting the levels would help.
04/26/2002 06:24:00 AM
Its a bit dark. I can't make out what this is.

While I don't think the figure in the background needs to be any lighter, the foreground is a little too dark for my taste. Because of this, I think, the rings are kind of hard to make out on the intricate embroidery.

cheesy
04/24/2002 02:17:00 PM
A little to dark to really get much out of this photo.

Great idea, and I think, also a great photo, but unfortunately too dark.

love the lighting and very subtle person in the background closing the door. i have a feeling a lot of people wont get it nor even be able to see that subtle background touch, though

Neat...different...I don't get it, but I like it. Is it the inside of a coffin? It has been 5 minutes now and I still don't know what it is. A couple just got married and they took the wedding dress off and are in the other room and well you know the rest. Am I close? Ok I give up.

I feel kinda stupid for not getting this.....it seems obvious, but it escapes me. Anyways, nice picture

Normally I'd find something this dark annoying, but somehow the figure in the door intriques me. I like this one!

Interestingly abstract. Perhaps too abstract.

closure???

another compelling image - the 'ghost/.spirit' leaving is a clever addition
04/22/2002 08:55:00 PM
Can hardly made anything out in this picture.
04/22/2002 08:04:00 PM
I can't tell what's going on here because it's so dark
04/22/2002 07:27:00 PM
The background looks too dark to me, I can barely see the sillouette of the figure
04/22/2002 06:56:00 PM
Took me a few to find the rings ...
04/22/2002 03:47:00 PM
This is an interesting photograph! I didn't readily see the rings and I'm not sure that I catch the drift. I don't understand the relation between the person in the doorway and the rings in the foreground. I little more light in the foreground may be helpful.
04/22/2002 01:28:00 PM
A beautiful photo. A little tighter on the dress and rings and this would have made my top 3 photos. The dark background is just a little...ever so little too much. Still a great one.
04/22/2002 01:18:00 PM
all sorts of a lovely idea.
04/22/2002 12:23:00 PM
The rings are a little lost. But overall - a very nice photo and story here. Extra points for difficulty. :)
04/22/2002 10:29:00 AM
Very artistic and well done. This seems to tell a story that is open to interpretation. I love it.
04/22/2002 09:27:00 AM
very interesting mixed message. I always associate closure with the end of a relationship... is that the meaning ? The rings seem to imply togetherness though. The person leaving and closing the door implies and end to the relationship, as if the rings were left as they were on the way out... Nicely lit to keep the foreground in detail but the background as shadows. Would have liked the rings to be closer/ larger though.

Great attempt. Would like to understand the message more when we find out who took it though :)
04/22/2002 08:52:00 AM
Just a little too dark maybe, but otherwise good.
04/22/2002 08:34:00 AM
More!
04/22/2002 08:08:00 AM
I really have no clue what's going on here. A bit too dark I think.
04/22/2002 07:26:00 AM
I wish there had been more detail in this.
04/25/2002 12:27:00 PM
Sorry, but I've no idea what this is a photo of!
