Cool, but too contrived.

Shame the shot isn't in focus, otherwise a good effort
04/27/2002 02:58:00 PM
nice idea but it looks too much like the drips are staged
04/27/2002 12:07:00 PM
Great idea - would have been awesome on a white background. The brown steals some of your color.
04/27/2002 06:23:00 AM
I wish the DOF had been a bit larger so the whole frame was in focus, not just the back.
04/26/2002 03:18:00 PM
Would have been more eye-catching with better selection of background and subject colours. Placed on white blotting paper and just allowed to melt with maybe red and black ink dribbled over ice cube would have put this transition into the 6-7 group.

the arrangement is good. it looks good in the thumbnail but the larger image is somehow washed out. maybe a different background color (not wood) would help. something white or yellow.
04/24/2002 02:23:00 PM
looks a little blurry
04/24/2002 09:54:00 AM
clever use of food coloring
04/24/2002 02:06:00 AM
You could get a job with singular wireless with a blob like that one. Nice color contrast.
04/23/2002 07:56:00 PM
The pattern looks like a cominc book splat! =) Cool effect

I think this is let down by being underexposed and having an over-yellow colour balance. I think a white background might have suited the subject better. Also the droplets look a little over-contrived; I think it would have been better to try and make it more natural.
04/23/2002 03:56:00 PM
Don't care for the lighting and looks a bit out of focus.
04/23/2002 03:54:00 PM
Not sure what the point is of the color. There is some blurring in your image. Lighting doesn't work well.
04/23/2002 12:06:00 PM
I think it would have worked better on a white plain background
04/23/2002 08:00:00 AM
interesting transition...would like to see it on a more solid color background tho, and it's too blurry
04/22/2002 09:20:00 PM
picture is interesting, though it is too unbelievable with the artificial splatter effect, furthermore the lighting is off and the colors in geberal take away from your picture in my opinion
04/22/2002 04:04:00 PM
Melting ice is indeed a transition. I'm not sure that I like the color, but otherwise, this is a decent shot...
04/22/2002 02:17:00 PM
different than the other ice melting pics, which is nice.
04/22/2002 01:19:00 PM
maybe on a different table wouldve been better
04/22/2002 10:57:00 AM
Potential here. I like the pattern the drops are forming, but the colors just don't stand out enough here
04/22/2002 10:50:00 AM
It's a transition all right. I think I would've preferred less color and a different background, make it a more simplistic thing, maybe even a b&w.
04/22/2002 09:51:00 AM
creative and imaginative. Focus seems a bit out. Could have done with a better location with more light and maybe a different backing than the tabletop ?
04/22/2002 09:10:00 AM
would be much stronger with a different background. the wood takes away from the colors in the ice.
04/22/2002 08:27:00 AM
Somewhat of a bland subject. Too much light on the right and not on the left.
04/22/2002 08:07:00 AM
a little too typical for my eyes
04/22/2002 07:30:00 AM
This meets the challenge, but....
04/25/2002 01:15:00 PM
Seems a little out of focus.
04/25/2002 12:35:00 PM
Good contrast of colours, but the lighting needs to be a bit more central
04/23/2002 03:01:00 PM
Why is it green?
04/22/2002 01:53:00 AM
Cool idea and neat pattern. A little more focus and even lighting would have made it better.
