Thanks for the crit, mag; I appreciate it.

I wanted to shoot it straight, but there was a physical limitation (a small wall) that got in the way. This was as straight as I could make it.

I did a USM before saving, yes. The jagged lines are a jpeg artifact,I guess, as they are clear and precise on the full resolution TIF.

Composition: Excellent. The repetition of the vertical elements is unusual and original. Color choices in post processing worked very well. I think it would have been more effective shooting perpendicular though, instead of at an angle.

Technical: a little soft. Some weird jaggeding ofr the powerlines. I wonder if a smaller aperature would have helped. Did you sharpen at all in post-processing? Things to think about..

Nice shot :)

Cool effect. I like the mood of this photo. Gritty and urban. The power lines have become a bit jaggy from resizing. Sometimes it can help to blur the photo by one or two pixels before you resize/resample it.

This pic needs to be squared up. Red doors are okay. The picture needs a little more of a focal point IMO. - Inspzil

I simply love RED, so you win. It is a great image and I feel that it works so well because of the contrast between the red and the grey found in the balance the frame. There is a bit of perspective error, but how do you correct it without a perspective control lens that most DPC members would not have or even be able to use. My pick of the week. Great job - 9

Graded this image once before, could two people have done the identical shot?

Color nicely manipulated out, except the red (did you mean to have the dumpster's label show up, too?) Focus is very good, sharp! (yes, the telephone wires look jagged, but that's not your fault or even the camera's!) 6 Swash

Intresting effect. Picture is a bit cluttered.

challenge met. i like how you isolated just the reds in this shot and desaturated everything else. nice repeating patterns. did you consider closing in on them a little more? maybe cropping out everything around the main building and just have that be the photo ... i think i would like that, but that's just me personally :)

this is cool! Perhaps cutting out the buildings on either side would have added more impact to the main building. Good Luck

a little too overdramatic for my taste.
