Taken on a moving subway. I don't think that the people really noticed the first time I did this. Put the camera flat on it's back on the floor (I was seated) and pressed the shutter button. The shape at the top left corner is actually me trying to get out of the picture. I really liked it when I looked at the preview, but a few subsequent shots showed people leaning over to look at the camera, which wasn't the effect I was going for. Not quite sure if that guy's face is out of focus, or if it's motion blue. Had to crop some from either side to rotate it to being straight and to get the required dimensions. Adjusted levels and curves in PS LE, converted to greyscale, and adjusted levels and curves again. I think I might like to try it with very slight blue cast to emphasize the coldness, but haven't quite figured out how to do that yet. |

So, what did these people think of you doing this?? |

Maybe even a lower position for the camera would have been better. |

unless these were your friends, how did you grab this shot without them laughing at you? |

I really like this photo. It's diffferent. Got a good, raw feel to it. Nice job. |

This is one of those photos I like better the second time I come back to vote. Good work. |

BW works really well with this shot. The shadow is a bit harsh on the arm covering the face. Still a nice compisition though.

Very nicely done. Fits the challenge perfectly. The guy's head it a bit blurry, but a larger aperature value would've made everything detailed. |

Great idea. Like the b&w for this one, too. Shame the girl's face is hidden behind her arm. |

An interesting idea, and well exposed. Better if the woman were holding the rail on the ceiling so we could have another face, but you take what you get. |

I feel claustraphobic just looking at it |

I really like the concept of this particular shot. I really love black and whites as well. There is only a minor issue here with focus and sharpness. |

I like this shot very much...it works on a number of levels...and the black and white really sets it off. Well done! |

Black and white is the perfect choice, in my opinion. |

This could have turned out to be a very perverted photo, but you used great judgement and it's AWESOME! It seems like the epitome of a kid's-eye view of the metro! |

i think this photo would have been better if it focused on one subject instead of one person off to the side and one with her arm covering her face. |

my eyes keep getting drawn to the arm covering the woman's face, which is not a good thing, considering the rest of this picture is great |

Nicely framed, with the diagonals and horizontal line. Good use of B&W too. |

Black and white really works in this photo. Much better than if you had done it in color. |

I like the black & white but I'd prefer to see the face |
