This shot was taken of the strings inside of my Grand Piano. I really liked the contrast of the red felt against the strings and at the same time thought this was an interesting perspective shot for the "Perspective" challenge.

Greetins from the Critique Club!
This meets the challenge nicely and the coloring is nice. The red adds a little something extra to it.
I like the perspective you've chosen, although I know there would also have been other options, and perhaps would have been even more appealing. Although there is nothing wrong with the perspective you've chosen, I think if the image indicated what the instrument is, it would have added to the appeal in general.
The focus isn't tack sharp any where. The shallow dof would be fine, if there was one area that was very sharp as a focal point.
The over all coloring is warm and I like the way the silver-toned metal strings contrast with all the warmth. I like the way the textures contrast too.
Hope to see more of your work.
Regards,

Grayce

What if the camera view was rotated to the right and elevated just a bit?

Cool... but I don't get a strong sense of perspective. There are bold lines running off into the distance, but they don't converge an awful lot. The colours are a bit dull and nothing stands out as the compositional subject of the photo to pull my attention to it.

nice detail and focus ... the composition and lighting is portrayed well too

my eye follows the red into the photo. the horizontal lines of the strings make it faulter to get there, yet does not hinder me, and they are peaceful in contast to the red. Is this the inside of a piano? the image could be a bit more sharp... but I like the hues and flowing lines.

I'm trying to figure out what instrument this is.... hmmmmmm.... maybe it's not an instrument at all! :-) Anyways, one of 2 top pics for me!

Meets the challenge, your DOF it perfect, the choice of a black BG brings us back to the red lines.

Maybe not cropping the end of it would have accentuated the perspective. 9

idea for this shot is spot-on for this challenge. good job catching the detail from where you are, especially the copper on the left. would like to be taken just a little closer though, maybe even turn on the macro.
borders don't really do anything for me, but everybody else is using them,
so after this week you won't hear any more moaning about it. go for what you know.

A harp ? Doesn't really feel sharp anywhere across the whole plane, but interesting
