| Thanks for the comments everyone! I knew I was taking a risk by submitting a "cliche" bug macro but it really is the best shot I took last year...I am happy with my placement. I think that makes 5 top ten photos without a ribbon in 14 attempts...LOL...is that a record? Thanks again everyone! |

| I'm kind of "into" dragonflies lately, and this has to be one of the best shots I've seen. The color is just stunning, and the detail is unbelievable. I think I see your reflection on his head - oop, just kidding! I cannot imagine how you got this close. I can chase the darn things all day and they never let me get this close. Great shot. |

| This is an awesome picture. I love the texture you captured. I can actually see the fine tecticles on its back. The clearity in the wings is magnificent. I dont think I could have dont it better. |

| This is one of the prettiest insects I've ever seen, those wings are just incredible. I find the crop is perhaps a little strange - seems slightly random, but still, this is a nine from me for the wonderfully crisp focus and great subject. |

| Returning to comment. Beautifully crisp and very detailed. I love how the green and blue colors interact. I also like this angle because typically it's a close up of the eyes. This gives a whole other perspective and shows some very intricate details of the dragonfly's back. Cool shot! |
