Crop. Selections to alter levels in sky, trees and roof. Clone out dust sponts. Burn and dodge to enhance. Add noise and reduce saturation on reds. Re-size. Add border. Save for web.

I was so frustrated the last two days driving through countryside and unable to stop--yesterday because I was driving for work and today because I was a passenger in the back seat. We went to the best restaurant (I know the chef) and the scenery was wonderful! This is a grab shot out one window--I don't think I would have done much differently given all afternoon....I love the angles, the abstraction of the environment. What does grain add to this? Moodiness, perhaps. Or nothing. I'll soon find out.

I don't know if the grain on this is an enhancement or not, but I really like this photo. I like the composition and the colours. The processing is very well done, IMHO.

This is so pretty, it looks like a painting! You should frame this and hang it on the wall!

Very nice angle of the roof. The contrast against the roundness of the hill and the colorful trees makes this a pleasing image. I love the way the grain was more heavily applied in the sky.

8 - Good use of grain for the Challenge. Like the 'composition' and the colors and toning. Criticism; not much, want to say more 'vivid' in the greens/reds, but difficult I imagine with contrast issues, especially with the roof. The 'texture', dramatic 'effect' (especially from the 'grain') on the roof, really makes this shot of 'a roof', very nice, so well done. Perhaps a slightly different crop/angle, to cut out that bottom right 'eave', not sure.

The overall effect is nice, although the grain does not ad as much as the rest of the process that gave this picture its earthy tonality. The only change I would make is t ensure that the grain was the same colour as its surrounding environment. That is the problem of digital grain that is not present in film grain.

Very nice, fits challenge perfectly. Only things not working here is that the clouds are a tad burned out in the upper portion of the shot and the wooden shingles seem a bit flat to me but overall I give this a 8.
