 Gaussian blurr and usm, levels contrast and brightness, cropped and resized.

Thanks for all the votes and the great finish. There was no true loss here, I meant the photo to be like a mother remembers when her children were small. Just goes to show how different people read a picture. Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

really effective..I wouldn't like the contrast bumped up too much here..I think it would lose its gentleness..

I like this one better the second time around, very strong. The only thing I would suggest is a bit more contrast, it seems a bit flat.

Fantastic emotive image, like the B&W - it makes me sad, then I grab my daughters and squeeze them tight and feel better. I really hope there wasn't a true loss here. She seems young to be an empty-nester. Nice work with such an emotional image.

The emotional charge in this shot is truly exceptional. I'm no expert at composition and exposure but this picture grabbed me deep inside and pulled. Wonderfully done!

Looks a little overdone with neat image. Would have rec a 10 from me if the picture was in focus and not so blotchy because the composition and overall set up of the shot is wonderful. Did you notice that her ring is turned?

there are some artifacts everywhere, for example in the frontmost hand, on her face, the hair lost detail. Message is strong and hearthfelt.
