::: Greetings from Critique Club :::

Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.

First Impression - the most important one:
Biteme, I love you :-) Your sense of humor and creativity always intrigue me. This is awesome.

Composition:
Composition is not by the rules, but it works for this image. One distraction, however, is the doll's hand. I'd like to see it either not in the frame or more in the frame.

Subject:
Other than being quite amusing, subject is clear and intriguing.

Technical (Color, focus, and light):
Focus: Sharp, well done DoF is near perfect.
Color: I love your post-process here. Flash-tones may be a bit on the Yellow side though.
Light: Interesting and defining.

To grow its vote?:
Do something pretty and not disturbing ;-) Personally, I prefer your style over ribbon-winning style.

Summary:
Love your style, girl. Keep up this awesome work :-)

Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy

Nicely done Hanneke - I didn't recognize you (not being green and all :) )
Really - you look waaaay young here!

Anyway - nice job. I think it was underrated by the gomer voters, but them's voters for you.

Reminds me of my own childhood. Good shot, like the doll and the look on your face. Well done.

Bizarre. I like the post-processing. I'm not the fan of bizarre, but I'll rate this high for being different. Post-processing is great.9.

Wow what a story you have! But I think you have over done it with the lights, the left hand is blowed way out of the picture. I don't know how close your model was to the background, but have moved them out a few feet and man this would have been much better. Great I deal hope to see more!

was it a coincidence that both the model and the doll shares the same colour of their eyes? that makes it special.

Love the contrast and the bold colors. Feels a little unbalenced, but it adds to the on edge feeling.

I didn't like the overexposed green washy look of this at first but it sort of tells a story as it is. There's a slightly grunge look about it caused by the perfect combinatin of the facial expression and the strange exposure. I don't know if that's the story you're trying to tell, I don't really undrstand the pic and its relationship to the caption

i had a dream that this exact doll ate my face while i was sleeping once.

i like the edgy processing. suits the subject well and adds to the creepiness. Dunno if you were going for creepy or not - but you found it ;)

Interesting. I like the harshness of its subject matter and lighting. 7
