| Not sure what you were going for. Not really getting self portrait out of a pair of skates. I'd go for it if your feet were in the skates. Other than that, nice looking shot. |

| Not a bad shot of skates, though the flash shadows detract from the effect. But some part of you should be in there to make it a portrait. |

| I love love love you photo and concept, I just wish there was more contrast. The light is so beautiful, more contrast would really make it sing. It just looks a little muddy right now |

I'm pretty sure you've been hit hard with this? I understand if skating is your life then this would make a good 'portrait' of what you do but think peeps want to see more standard portraits.
As an image I like it a lot, the light/shadow on the wall is wonderfull |

| Very moody effect going on here. The sepia makes it look like an old photo, like the skates have been hanging there for some time. Time to dust off the old friends and get out there on the ice. Well done. |

| I can see this as a "self portrait" in a very outside the box way (under the assumption the photographer is deeply involved in skating). I like the simplicity of the shot, though it isn't very interesting to me personally. The composition is good, but feels a little static. It overall doesn't really hold my attention very long. |
