This was taken on my dining room table with some newspaper clippings, a Sanford yellow highlighter, a tripod, and an AlienBees B800 studio strobe. I focused on the bottom graph in the photo to get the area of sharpness I wanted. I didn't do any cropping in Photoshop, I only inverted the colors and did an unsharp mask of 80% and 0.3 pixels.

Good use of contrasts and colors, the highlites really add to it. I like it a lot better inverted as you have done.

killer inversion

I think this is one of the few good uses of inverse I have seen at DPC. I love the want ads trailing off into the distance...

The negative works well on the newspaper print , however I think a slight levels adjustment to improve the contrast a little may have helped.

I really like the editing that you did to this picture and the general layout of the papers. Everything stands out well. Great job

Interesting color scheme. Nicely focused shot, but a bit dry. 6 Swash

Startling color and contrasting. Nice.

Can you say "Ouch!"? I like the way the inverted color gives the whole picture a dark and evil feel.

I want to know how you did this!! Well done -10 based on technnical merit

Normally I don't care for inverted photos, but I think it adds to the gloom for you. The picture seems kinda flat to me though (rather 2 dimensional).

Interesting use of negative. I like that - unusual and atmospheric. But for a really "black, depressing" look I think you needed softer lines and some shadows. Of course they would have had to be lights when you composed the scene. Great concept though - very original.

Splendid use of inverted colors! I like it...the highlighting adds interest as well. I would have liked it cropped down from the tad a bit. 8 Lisa

Nice image I like the DOF. That white area near the top left though invites the eye's attention. You probably didn't intend that but had no control over it either.
