 This is maybe not my best of the year, but is probably my favorite. I am excited about it because it is my first lightening picture I have ever taken. I grabbed my camera to run and take a picture of some clouds over the mountains as the sun was setting. When I was done, I turned back to the east and saw this storm brewing with the clouds still lit by the sun. with no tripod, I stopped my lens down, rested the camera on a boulder and held my breath as I released the shutter and held it while it was open. This was the best of the bunch.

I have a morbid fascination with thunderstorms and they never fail to catch my eye. The colouring increases the feeling of foreboding. Great shot.

good catch, the lightings seem to be in focus the left side ground is out of focus, you should crop the left side out of the photo, it would make it much better
