| nice photo, but the pencil seems forced into an otherwise natural looking picture. it might just be me but it seems like it would seem more natural if it weren't sticking so far out. as far a technical merits its a great photo. |

| Pretty neat photo. I think it would even be cool if it didn't have a pencil in it. Love the lights in the background. The focus is great except for that one little blur of a child. LOL. You can't trust them to stay still for anything. Oh well, not your fault. At first I was thinking you could have moved the photo up a bit as to not cut off her head, but then realized that it would have left too much dead space with the sky. I think you did a great job with this. Congrats and good luck in the challenge. |

Composition:It bothers me that her head is cut off.

| i like the colors in this shot and the girl in the foreground. if it was me i would have cropped the people on the right side out. it would be very dramatic if there were no people in the photo except the girl with the pencil. that would be a near impossibility to orchestrate though. good job. 7 |

| This looks like a scene out of a movie. I like it. The only think that's distracting is the blur of the little kid. The pencil kinda seems out of place, but if you want to get technical, pencils don't really "belong" in my shot either. |

| I would prefer a facter shutter time. The child at the bottom of the picture is distracting and I'm curios to know what the 'cliff hanger' looks like but I can't tell in this shot even though that is what it is titled. However, I do like your pencil idea and think you have a great angle for this shot. |

The light and dark and colour has come acros very clearly. I like the guy bent over at the stall but wish blue shirt man was facing us. The family group at the right are distracting as they are half in half out. Best thing for me is the colour and movement of the lights of the sign.

After looking at hundreds of pictures of pencils, this one was really refreshing. The pencil is there, but is not the focus of the shot. It meets the challenge and is just a fun photo to boot. Plus, I went to the state fair this week too....
I wish the little kid had not been moving in the frame, but what can you do? |

| Good bright vivid color. Just about sneaked a pencil in there too!! Just a shame about the blurred child in the front of the shot. |
