totally cool idea and implementation. the color of the mannequin against the plain white, the position (sitting position, as well as position in the photo) is perfect. so is the drawing. no complaints other than a little nitpick about the dark corners. buth they are just that ... little nitpicks. my top 5 this week. -- gr8photos (10) |

nice image. but i wish you would have used a "natural" pencil or a yellow pencil to give it a little more kick. the natural pencil would go well with the puppet, a yellow pencil would give a nice splash of color. ~mcmurma Aesthetics....6 Meets Challenge...7 Overall....6 |

Very nice. I was surprised at the amount of Self portrait photos. I saw a similar looking guy in the challenge archives, I believe it was in the Table Top challenge, or the From the ground up challenge. He was stomping on the camera lens or something Anyway, the lighting here looks perfect. Very creative way to make the little man drawing and great drawing of the little man drawing. The angle couldn't be better. I noticed that the pencil is leaning a little to the left, but also noticed that it's leaning in the self portrait too, so great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Is this the equivalent of a human signing his/her name in blood? LOL. Kinda cannibalistic for a stick figure to be using a wooden pencil to draw. Great concept and a wonderful picture. muckpond |

This is a great photo... The concept and imagination behind this shot is powerful to me :) As a possible improvement, I think that a standard yellow pencil would offer a bit of 'color candy' in this photo since it would make a better contrast with the background. I think another artistic improvement with that yellow pencil would have been to color the pencil in the sketch part of the photo yellow as well. This is just an opinion from a non-artist :) great shot... = 10 - jmsetzler |

I really like the idea and it was very well done. The only thing I can nit pick is a pencil that has more consitant colors. The colors look a little washed out in the middle but that was probably the pencil not the lighting. Good luck |

I really like this, I find the exact positioning of the puppet just perfect, the angle of the head seems really emotive. I like the composition of the photo, the background, the choice of pencil and the sketch itself. 8, Kavey |

This is a strong image. I like the use of the drawing and doll together. Very nice composition, the line of the drawn pencil pulls the eye in towards the main subject. Very nice. |
