If I hadn't read your notes I would've thought "oh what a sad picture. that poor baby got left alone." But now I know better :) Very nice job darkening the background, I've only recently begun doing that and it works lovely. |

That is aMAZING! I feel so protective of the baby! I can't imagine walking in a store and leaving Jackson or Carson in their stroller outside! My heart hurts!
But what a COOL photo, Deb! I love the look of the architecture and the street! I LOVE this photo!

Oh, man, this one gets you! It's done really well, but I love the scene (or don't love it, depending on how you want to put it). The kid leaning towards the door, waiting, the other lady in back not paying attention to anything, the emptiness otherwise. Wow. Very interesting. |

Excellent street shot, I think these are my favorite for B&W....they are so good at telling a story and evoking emotions. Great job. |

Love the composition and all the stone and concrete. Your PP is very expertly done. The way the baby is leaning forward says it all. Excellent! |

Thanks for the update re this one, re the Father of the child,,,,,
I love this candid shot, but in some ways, it also scares me a little, that she is all alone in that stroller, apart from you taking the photo.....

Tough to get past that initial "OMG where's the parents" feeling. But once you do...that's quite the photo!

I really like this one too, great composition, fantastic moment with the child almost reaching out to someone in the shop. Great conversion, really fantastic job, one of the best imo in the last few days.

Very nice. This for me this has something of the quality of the old school European photography masters. Actually this is really quite wonderful. Your use of post is done with much even restraint, unnoticeable as post work, yet a lovely effect. |

gosh - fabulous image - the tension created by the child with no parents around is quite unnerving - good capture... now drop that camera and go find those parents! |

Kind of a dangerous shot, leaving that cute baby by itself. You say a bit about responsibility here. Nice depiction of inattentiveness on the parents part. Kind of scary. |

Interesting shot with a couple of contradictory images...Bot is left outside the shop...assumption it is a safe area in which a mother can do this. However, immeditaely behind the boy is what appears to be am abandoned shop with papered up windows...thought..how nice is this area if shops are being abandoned
Building next to the abandonned shop...Seems to have quite a grand facade...The shop where the boy is waiting has nice pillars but they look to have seen better days.
I like any shot that makes me think.
Love the bot so obviously leaning forward to see his mother, might have liked the whole image to be about him, but then I guess you would have lost the feeling that this is a very small person in a big world
As ever great focus and contrasts

Very nice catch and good details. :) Although it is a sign of how differently we think about things in this country that my first thought was "who in the world would leave their kid out on the sidewalk unattended like that"? |

it's so unfair that he has to sit in his car and wait :) i like how attentively he's waiting for his sister and dad.
i like how the background looks, this processing worked well i think. |
