Thanks for all the kind comments. Most of you had no trouble figuring out what I photographed. The references to Sherpet's fine work are high praise...and to be truthful, she is the inspiration for this image.

This image has a subject but could use some sharpness. That's the beauty of Macro Photography to me... being able to see textures that ordinarily unnoticed. The grain in the photo isn't my taste, but i think it would work a little better if it were reduced. It's a little distracting to me.

Excellent sharpness and coloring. It looks like some leaves, but I don't know what.It's got mango coloring, but it's not mangos.

I was thinking leaves or petals from a plant, but the lighting seems too flat... perhaps it's just a painting of leaves and the lines are created from the brush strokes? Nice blends of colors.

beautiful lines and color. It seems a bit noisy I think, which detracts from the flow and the smooth texture of the subject. Still well done overall. 9

Pretty. I like the flow of the diagnal lines. The editing makes it seem like a paingint and the colors remind me of ripe mangos (though I know that's not it!).
