Despite having always loved photography I have no real experience. I recently purchased a digital camera for the convenience of it. I was anxious to attempt a challenge and was pondering the theme for a couple of days. As soon as I reviewed this shot it made me think of twins. I personally found the picture interesting in the sense that it forced the reader to really look at it. So here it is my first attempt at digital photography.

Sorry, I didn't finish my sentence!! I was saying "Why'd it have to be so small?" Also, the focus is off. It feels more like a snapshot as well. I hope you're enjoying your photography, keep practicing and most importantly, have fun! =-)

Cute closeup, but the focus is too soft.

This is a cute idea but the photo is a little out of focus to my eye.

A good idea which has not quite worked.
What I think may have been "soft focus" has drifted towards "out of focus"
If it is a focus problem, it could have been rectified by stepping further back and taking the picture to retain focus and then cropping the picture to the same image.
It is a shame to see a potentially good picture lose it because it has not been taken carefully enough.
In most digital cameras now there is enough resolution to crop a considerable amount without losing image quality.
Try and reshoot it again and compare the difference.

I like this pose & concept vy much but for me the soft focus distracted.

Nice idea, composition ok, I do not prefer the blurred look.

Composition is good with the diagonal line from eye to eye and the cheeks, Unfortunate too blurry. Also downloading a larger file would help keep interest.

Too small, and out of focus.

Too small and focus is really too poor to make this worth looking at. The kind of snapshot that's probably mainly of interest to the people in it and their friends/ family. That said, eye contact is good - if it were in focus and larger that would really help pull viewers in.

I love this idea and the cropping but the focus is poor.

I like the composition, but the lack of focus really brings it down for me.

An interesting composition, but too small of a photo to upload, and it's unfortunately out of focus.

the subjects are very blurry and framing is too tight in my opinion. The colors are weak, with very little depth.

You'll have to forgive my bluntness here -- I'm watching "American Idol," and Simon has probably influenced my tone a bit. But this is really, really poor, I'm afraid. The quality of the shot is abysmal -- at just 4K (when 150K is allowed) and 231 pixels wide (when 640 is allowed), it's just too small. The potential is there for an interesting composition of the two girls, but this is out of focus and just not at all thought out. Just being honest...

Cute idea but they are really in need of more focus.

Hmm, you've got the twins idea going. But you also have the "snapshot" feeling going as well. 1) It's quite blurry and 2) the expressions seem anything but focused on capturing a zodiac feel. Perhaps displaying the same expression would enhance the 'twins' feel.

I like the composition. It is out of focus & this takes away a lot fromt he shot.

Obvious focus and clarity issues. Quite a small image, and there really is nothing at all in focus. Interesting thought for the challenge, but would prefer this to be sharper. I also think that the view UP the nose is a little distracting, would have positioned her face downward a bit.

sizing it really small won't hide the fact that it's a bad picture. I like the framing though
