| this is simple, but I really like it. I like the placement of the smoke within the photo, and the lighting was great. focus and clarity fit well with the purpose of the photo. great job. 9 good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~ |

| its not your fault you don't have an extremely interesting picture here. I know you have to make your picture a certain dimension. My main criticism is that it is poorly framed. I like it and it is good use of theme. |

| Smoke is so hard to capture well. Good work. Did you try it with the smoke in other parts of the frame -- like "running" diagonally or having it framed horizontally. I don't necessarily think those would be better, just different ideas. karmat |

| Up: Good interpretation of theme. Excellent subject choice. Good work in available light, or low-light. Down: slight graininess, focus is a little soft (though I understand it IS smoke, after all). |
