 thankyou for all the great votes .. even the 'bad' ones teach me something, altho it would be more beneficial to the photographer if the voter gave a reason when giving out a low score .. not only on my photographs but everyones ..
i know that not everyone is as keen on the macro world of insects as i am but i think you'll just have to get used to it .. I LOVE 'EM ..
i had processed and submitted 'deadly embrace' in this free study and had put the robberfly with a title 'drop dead gorgeous' in flickr ..
this is deadly embrace ..

with a day to go i had another look at this gorgeous robberfly and thought he might be a bit more warmly received by the voting crowd .. the grass in the background created a lovely backdrop to his beauty i reckon ..

Roz - quite spectacular image either the insects are pretty darn big in Oz or you are getting very very close to these incredible beasts :- )

Roz: you never cease to amaze me with your talent. The patients you have for this kind of shot speaks volumes to the type of photographer you are.

This normally mundane insect passes under our noses as a pest and causes many people much grief, but you have this unbelievable talent to capture the beauty that this creature has and is usually seen by its mate and show it to us in such a fashion that I find inspiring.

I love the macro shots you take of insects and will endeavor to do some of my own now that I see the beauty that they posses and the vibrant colours the mother nature has for us to see.

Thank you Roz. You are truly one of the best this site has to offer.

Another amazing macro of such sharpness and vibrancy that it just slaps you round the face and screams look at me
