This was a very last minute entry with very little done to it because of time, I only had about 5 minutes before rollover. I wasn't going to submit it because it was a fox again like my last entry but I had nothing else and thought what the hell. Anyway taken at the same farm as the last wild life challenge but this time he just wouldn't move in to a better position! Thanks for the comments.

Excellent photo. Expression is intriguing. The white streak at the top is a minor distraction.

I immediately thought of 'Sly like a Fox' when I saw this. Nice image except the lower left part of the image which I assume you couldn't do anything about.

Could this be an Ivory shot? Beautiful, the fox is gorgeous and that focused expression makes the shot pop. I like the soft look too.

This shot has all the makings of being a really great shot. What detracts here is the piece of woody branch in the foreground and the 2 gaps allowing the light through in the background. For the rest the shot is absolutely amazing with nice fine detail.

Great lighting, I would have toned down the light above the ear with levels.

coming back to comment:

Beautiful little fox and an appropriate title given their love of raiding the chicken house :) Nice catch light in it's eyes - I like the composition, it looks like it is resting it's snout on the triangle in the bottom left hand corner which fits with it's sleepy yet watchful eyes .. I think cloning out the white patches about the head of the fox would be helpful as my eyes go there, also, on my monitor, there the space beside the nose of the fox is a little hot - hard to do much about that given the circumstances of the challenge.. not like you can drag the fox into a studio I know.. nicely photographed.

This shows why foxes get called "sly" all the time. That's a sly look if I've ever seen one!

a good photo but with 3 distracting elements, the two lights on the top side and the brown thing on the lower side. the brown things was impossible remove but the couple of lights could be do without great work. 6

you can almost hear him thinking 'Hmmmm...chicken or goose for supper tonight?...' :-) great expression, nice lighting, teeny bit of glare on the side of his muzzle. 7

I was hoping someone would capture a fox. I just love his face. Too bad the branch is in the lower left corner. What a beauty.

Really nice shot that almost looks like the blue ribbon winner of Wildlife III I think it was. It doesn't really look like natural environment though. There are lights in the background and the fox (?) is far too comfortable with you being so close. no vote
