Unbelievable! This is a stunning composition, AWESOME depth of field.
Next time (and try with this file if you still have the native file) use "High Pass" for sharpening. I can't imagine this being any better than it is right now, but if anything could do it, that would.

jodie!! your picture is so fabulous, and brings back many happy memories of glacier for me. i lived & worked in the park in 1195 & 1996. i love the northfork area, where kintla is...polebridge has a special place in my heart, too. thanks again for this...and congratulations!!!!!!!

| Hi everyone! This is my first post on DPChallenge and what a wonderful picture to post too. Please forgive me if I over speak but I think this is a wonderful picture. I hope to have the nerve to get involved in a challenge in the near future. I am taking time to read the rules, back to the picture at hand. I love the depth of field form the stones in the lake below the water to the mountaintops as far as the eye can see. It is truly a picture of tranquility. I love the way the dock tilts towards the right as if it̢۪s following the lakes curve. Great Photo. |

This was as close to a no-brainer 10 as it gets. The first time in ages that an image jumped out at me, grabbed me by the throat, and yelled, 'GIMME A 10!'

I'm just thrilled to have finally won a ribbon. Now my husband has to take me out to dinner - we made a deal over a year ago that if I ever won a ribbon he'd take me out for a fancy dinner. :) Thanks everyone who voted. I watched my score go up and up all week and thought maybe there was a reverse April fool's joke going on.
This place is seriously one of the most beautiful places in the world - I hardly feel right taking the credit for what nature did. All I had to do was click the shutter. :) I used to go camping at this little remote place all the time, but hadn't been there for several years. When I saw this contest pop up, I thought it would be the perfect place if the weather would just cooperate, so I hopped in my car and drove up there. I took lots of great shots that day, but I'm glad I chose this one as my final entry.

| This shot was an automatic 10. It's the first and only shot in the challenge this week that made me just say wow! I love the clarity and stillness of the water, The shadows on the water, and the slight tilt to the end of the pier. There are just so many amazing elements to this image. Beautiful symmetry, texture, solid composition. Just spectacular. 10 |

Well balanced, well exposed. Must be very early since the water is so still. Great clarity in the reflection. There seems to be a little noise in the sky which is probably due to jpeg compression.

Nice shot indeed - especially like the way the cloud reflection blurs into the stony bed of the lake - a phenomenon I really enjoy in photographs. Have you had a look at it cropped to the horizon line, so that the hills, mountains and clouds only exist in reflection? A brief look masking off the top of frame suggests that that would make an exceptional composition (takes notes for future ...) :-)
One of few shots where the heavy summer shadows are used to good effect. 7 |

| A beautiful scene, great reflections and colors, good DOF. The image feels a bit tilted to the right. Also I am not sure about the jetty coming on from the side of the image, maybe better to have it more to the left, coming in from the bottom of the image. |
