I think this is in good focus. Just look at the foreground AND the background. Both in focus. How anyone could give below a five is beyond me. Perfect framing is subjective.

good job. background is a bit distracting though.
04/20/2002 12:19:00 PM
a fortunate splash, eh?
04/20/2002 09:53:00 AM
I like this shot. It has a story line of its own. The background tells me it ia hotter than hell, and the answer to that is in the great splash.
04/20/2002 08:50:00 AM
Nice catch w/ the face and all. I think centering the splash would've been better.
04/20/2002 05:11:00 AM
This is awesome. You have a great eye. I like your background, the way you off centered your splash looks great. It's a little blurry, but I still count it high.
04/20/2002 05:02:00 AM
Good idea! I like it
04/19/2002 03:14:00 PM
Another cool river-splash photo. That high splash of water is awesome!
04/19/2002 08:44:00 AM
Cool picture, but if this picture was removed from this site, it wouldn't be easy to tell what your subject is.
04/19/2002 07:26:00 AM
Great idea, and picture taken at just the right moment. Would've been nice if the whole splash was visible at the left and top.
04/19/2002 03:00:00 AM
powerful splash. and nice rocky background. perhaps a little more towards the center would've been nice.
04/19/2002 01:51:00 AM
the holes ripping in the sheet of water look pretty cool but I wish the camera were tilted upwards a bit so capture more of the background.
04/18/2002 06:07:00 PM
Good "stoppage." Not quite enough action on the right side of the picture. Crop it, maybe?
04/18/2002 03:15:00 PM
great timing
04/18/2002 01:28:00 PM
A nice stop-motion image. Technically sound. well, maybe a little bit out of focus.
04/18/2002 10:14:00 AM
Nice splash. Good focus. I like the way the spalsh is off center. Eastern washington? Or Texas? Or?
04/18/2002 07:00:00 AM
Looks like "Wilson" ;) Great imagination, where was this taken though - Mars? The background is bizzare.
04/18/2002 01:18:00 AM
I like the rocks in the background the splash falls of the composition though placing the center of the splash more to the right would of awarded this peice a higher score
04/17/2002 11:26:00 PM
needs more frame of reference
04/17/2002 11:14:00 PM
Pretty exciting water -- not-so-exciting setting/composition.
04/17/2002 05:02:00 PM
The contrast of the splash on the left and the near-still water to the right is great - lovely timing too
04/17/2002 04:06:00 PM
great splash, good shot well captured
04/17/2002 11:02:00 AM
Skipping stones?
04/17/2002 10:56:00 AM
i like the off-center composition.
04/17/2002 10:08:00 AM
good effort. I don't really like having that right hand side being so empty though
04/15/2002 07:09:00 PM
cute. I see the face but my eyes keep fixing on that interesting landscape. The splash seems to get in the way of me moving with the ripples to shore. I do like this, but feel you didn't trust "us" without making a splash. :)
04/15/2002 06:09:00 PM
Beautiful. Really gets my attention thanks mainly to the compositon and the action. Great job!
04/15/2002 05:29:00 PM
Wasn't my top three but a 10 never the less. Just look at the clear water! Nice background too.
04/15/2002 04:16:00 PM
Great photo. I'm just curious to know what made the splash.
04/15/2002 02:54:00 PM
The splash looks great, but I think that it could have used some cropping to take out the empty space on the right 2/3 of the photo.
04/15/2002 02:00:00 PM
water.. go figure
04/15/2002 11:43:00 AM
Great splash. I love the holes in the wall of water.
04/15/2002 10:49:00 AM
This is almost an excellent shot. If the spash were in the frame of view we would be cooking with gas :) BTW- I hope that wasn't yer camera making the splash :)
04/15/2002 08:39:00 AM
Great how you got that big of a splash and froze it. But the color seems a little washed out.
04/15/2002 07:49:00 AM
unfortunately, the splash isn't what's in focus...
04/15/2002 07:18:00 AM
Shame the focus is on the far bank, rather than on the splash. Good try.
04/15/2002 07:11:00 AM
Nice idea but it's lacking crispness that maybe more zoom or a closer shot would give.
