I find myself revisiting this image time and again. While the angle and the perspective play major roles in making this image successful, it is the filter creating the blur that really strikes the imbalance for me; I hate it and love it simultaneously. What better definition of out of balance? It feels overdone and uncomfortable, but in this contest, would be less complete without it. I would never process this way and accept this as a final product for one of my own images, but that is exactly why it resonates with me so much! |

Could be a whirlpool made of stone from the thumbnail. Nicely soft, I like how thee left window pulls you away from the door so you can start again |

Very effective. It has a tilt-shift lens flavour to it but I suspect the effect was achieved by PP. I hope you let us know. |
