Definitely adding this to my favorites. Not much to add to the comments below, except WOW! It's modern and ancient at the same time. So well composed and executed. |

#133 of 299 and it was my top choice which in the end tells ME where I stand (especially since I think I am incapable to do such a marvel with a camera). It goes directly to my favorites. Thank you . |

One of my favorites in the challenge. Everybody is in action, including the fellow on the cell. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: The blur is wonderful and prominent but it is the painting-like colours that grabs me here. Those colours and the light imbue the image with an Old Master / hanging in a public gallery feel. That suggestion carries over into the scene it self with my brain telling me the building behind is a gallery. The amount of detail you have preserved in many of the figures is just perfect, as is the degree of blur elsewhere.
Critical stuff: Nothing.
Overall: Wonderfully made. The overall effect hits a number of sweet spots. |

The blur in this image is very pleasing to me. I see the activity and society without being distracted by the individuals. I like the colors and light too. |

This proves the old adage "It's better to be lucky than good." Of course, you had to also Be There, ready. I can't tell you how much I admire the Renaissance light in this, the combination of earth colors & primary colors, the feeling of suspended Action. It's mesmerizing! |

I think a blurry crowd is cool, it makes it feel like they're milling about and doing what crowds do. I think a blurry environment goes a little too far, makes it feel accidental instead of intentional. Overall interesting shot though. |

I think I would like this better if at least one face was in focus. The colors and dof are grat. |

Most unusual entry for a FS. Interesting light and positioning of groups. Pillars add stability to an otherwise motive image. Hope you're not getting caned. |

Spectacular! Am wondering what Delacroix would have said of this. You concocted a magnificent image, a heroic story and gave it the perfect title! Top! |
