 This is a common sight at the hills around Ljubljana in the winter - the valley is filled with thick fog 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's a beautiful sight when you rise up from the fog, but unfortunately I live under it.
This is a Photomatix blend of three exposures 1.6 stops apart. and then contrast enhanced using curves in PS, also burned the edges a bit. I did also a version with noise reduced, but it looks too sissy and washed out. I like noise, and I wish I had done this for the Image Grain challenge. I'm sure grainy look will be a problem with this one, but let's see...

Almost a Chinese scroll. Such delicate details here, such a melodious composition. I would certainly crop the sky with its unnecessary reflections and bluish hue.

Very interesting take on the challenge....not the overly saturated colors as is typical for 90% of the entries! Great composition, and just wonderfully processed.

Beautiful landscape and a magic moment. Rreally well framed and angled, it strikes a pretty good good trade-off between local and general contrast, without dodge and burn excesses. I think the stray light actually adds to the mood of the image and the feeling of being up there.
