7.17 at 40! Totally unexpected, I was hoping for a comfortable 6! (it might still get there obviously!)

Bear's comment is very interesting - I did rush to the Dandenongs when I saw that mountain peaks were in the cloud. I was hoping for the mysterious fog shots but it was all gone by the time I got there! (one hour drive) I spent some considerable time on PP to get some enchantment without the mist.

I am not sure where the orange came from but I thought it fitted well with the fairytale theme.

These trees are called mountain ashes and they are very straight and tall, and usually have some tree ferns growing underneath. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the right spot to include ferns as they would definitely add to the enchantment.

Just realized that tall tree ferns would not look very Scottish! But then it is a fairytale..

Congrats!! Truly beautiful spot, truly beautiful image, love the saturated path and grass -- makes it glow and look magical. Perfect for the blue in this challenge. :)

What a beautiful image. The colours are great...the path invites you in, then disappears behind the trees...and then the distant fog...promising a long journey into the unknown!

I read the title with the thumbnail, then opened the full image - and immediately was struck by how Australian those trees look. No way it's Scotland ;-Þ.

Oh, that's a hell of a job. The bit of orange sky upper left is bugging me, otherwise this is as over-the-top enchanted as you could get without mist :-)

Love the verdant greens and the path that winds and curves off into the trees. Nice details in the forest trees, bushes, and grasses. The hue of the trees and the greenery does invoke the idea of enchantment...however there is some odd brown/sepia tones at the upper left and right corners that seems at odds with the hazy blue tones of the sky.

Simple, peaceful, and lovely. Thank you for giving this in my busy life. The way the nearest canopies are above the frame gives the impression of a cathedral ceiling that towers beyond the limit of sight, and the highlights on the trunks and flowering bush give a convincing feeling of depth in contrast to the darker areas beyond.
